1st March 2014-The Corporation launched go-live of project 'e-Nirbaaha' on 1 March,2014 at the Corporate Office, Bhubaneswar. Sh Vipin Saxena, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department inaugurated the project by generating the first on-line work order for the Bhubaneswar Division. Sh Satyajit Mohanty, IPS , CMD told on the occasion that the 'e-Nirbaaha' would be fully integrated to the operational and financing procesess of the Corporation in one year time. On this occasion, the team members of CMC Ltd , who implemented the ERP-SAP based online platform for the Corproration, were felicitated. OSPH&WC is the first construction Corporation of the state to have implemented the SAP application for project management.
65th Republic day was celebrated in the Corporate office of the Corporation. Sri Satyajit Mohanty, IPS, CMD took Guard of Honor & hoisted the National flag. Officers and staff of the Corporation were present.
A meeting of the Committee on Public undertaking was held in the the Odisha Assembly building to examine general activities of the Corporation in which Principal Secretary to Govt.Home Department and CMD of the Corporation along with other Senior officers were present.
A picnic was organized by the employees of the Corporation at Baliapanda,Puri in which CMD along with other officers and employees of the Corporation participated and enjoyed.
Operation of Accounts Manual of the Corporation was approved by Board of Directors in their 119th Meeting held on 26.9.13 and confirmed in the 120th Meeting held on 31.12.13. The said Operation and Accounts Manual of the Corporation came into force with effect from 1.1.2014.
Newly Renovated conference Hall situated at ground floor was inaugurated by Sri Satyajit Mohanty,IPS, Chairman Cum Managing Director of the Corporation.
OPHWC donated Rs.5 lakhs to Odisha Police to organise "KARUNA" camp to provide succour to the cyclone affected persons in the worst affected areas of Ganjam District in partnership with Odisha Police. On an average cooked food is being provided to 6000 perople highly affected by Cyclone "Phailin".
Sri Satyajit Mohanty,IPS,CMD,OPHWC visited Ganjam District to access the damages to buildings of the user Departments. In course of his visit he covered 8th Bn.Chhatrapur,DPO & RO,Chhatrapur,Berhampur Circle Jail,Fire Station,Berhampur. CMD announced relief measures for the affected employees of Police ,Prison and Fire Departments who have been rendering outstanding services to the cyclone affected people in spite of personal hardship. A sum of Rs.7.25 lakhs was released for the employees of all the user departments and two nos of tractor mounted water tankers costing Rs.10.25 lakhs will be provided to Ganjam Police and 8th Bn.,Chhatrapur to mitigate drinking water problem.
Sri Susanta Kumar Paikiray Joint Manager Berhampur,OPHWC formally handed over a water tanker to S.P. Ganjam as a welfare measure to the Police personnel of Ganjam District.
