Board Meeting was held on 29.8.17 which approved Accounts Statement for financial year 2016-17 and deliberated other Agenda notes.
OPH&WC finalised Architectural design for new extension block of State Guest House,Bhubaneswar.
Joint Managers' Conference was held on 19.8.17 to review all ongoing works and complications in F2 contracts etc. Meeting was attended by all Senior Officers of Head Office and Field Joint Managers of all 9 Divisions. Specific targets were fixed for each ongoing Project towards completion in conformity with A/A specifications.
Corporation has completed 203 nos of Projects during April to July 2017 period.
OSPH&WC has achieved turnover of Rs.82.64 Cr. during April-July of 2017 against Rs.72.87 Cr. of corresponding period of 2016.
All pending issues between SP.Hqrs and corporation were discussed in the cooperation meeting on 1.8.2017. The meeting was chaired by CMD Sri S.K.Upadhyay and was attended by IG(Mod) Sri.A.Thakur,IPS , CE of the Corporation Er.A.Panigrahi and others.
Audit committee Meeting was held on 25.7.17. Committee deliberated on internal audit reports of 16-17 for all 9 Divisions done by independent C.A. firms.
Workshop was held on 7.7.17 at Head office with all Accounts Personnel about latest inputs on GST implementation w.e.f 1.7.2017.
In order to infuse transparency and professionalism, the Management has reinforced the Technical Wing of the Corporation from FY 2016-17.
1. 52 Nos. of Asst. Project Managers have been regularized with approval of Government and posted to all revenue districts and Division Offices for the first time.
2. Exclusive Design Consultant has been appointed to oversee structural design aspects of all projects.
3. ERP-SAP Consultant has been engaged to oversee and monitor the functioning as well as progress of ERP-SAP System.
4. Two Circles have been set up in the Corporation headed by two Superintending Engineers (on deputation from Government) to oversee quality construction of the projects.
5. Electrical Consultant has been engaged to monitor and scrutinize estimates of Electrical Division.
6. F2 Contract Management:- Since Corporation has emphasized on execution of projects through e-procurement mode, complications and grievances of Contractors are being found which need to be addressed properly by professional person. A Consultant has been engaged to look into speedy redressal of grievances of F2 Contractors/pending litigations thereof.
7. Monitoring Wing has been strengthened with specific allocations of duties to APMs Divisionwise and Userwise.
8. Grievance Redressal mechanism for Contractors has been opened up by Chief Engineer(Civil) for every Monday afternoon. Besides Chief Engineer(Civil) and all Divisional Heads are conducting Contract Management Meetings at their levels to mitigate the bottlenecks.
9. Utilization Certificates and financial progress of projects are being intimated to all Users periodically.
10. Emphasis has been given for completion of all projects within Administrative Approval amount and without time/cost overruns. Deviations of any project without approval of User has been forbidden.
11. Recoveries against errant personnel have been initiated from FY 2016-17. Steps are being taken to complete the stalled projects within reasonable time, on receipt of revised Administrative Approvals.
12. Inspection/touring by Supervisory Officers has been started with effect from FY 2016-17.
